Description

Here's an ultra rare, 1986 Abe Rivera Custom 7-String Archtop. Abe was originally from Puerto Rico, who became a master luthier out of New York. He's built guitars for the likes of Pat Marino & Kevin Eubanks. This is a one off, 7-String acoustic archtop, fitted with a floating Benedetto pickup. It was custom made for somebody named Marty Power, with a date of December 24, 1986 (which is on the heel and inside of body). 'Paz y Amor,' which means 'Peace and Love,' is inscribed on the back of the headstock. At the volute, there's a hand carved heart within another heart!!! So much love was put into this stunning instrument. Every inch of the guitar is beautiful to look at: from the intricate tailpiece & pickguard, to the stunning flame maple back & sides and hand carved spruce top, to the unique designs in the wood. The fretboard is Ebony, with custom abalone inlays. The body measures 3 5/16" deep, and 15" at the bout. The neck has a comfortable, wide profile, with fast playing low acton. No other guitar in the world sounds like it!! Craftsmanship at the highest level. HSC included...
