.A very rare Semi Mosley (Mosrite) made Acoustic Black widow.
Outstanding guitar and the best of the Black Widow builds.
Jimi Hendrix owned 2 Black Widows (a right handed he “appropriated” from an Acoustic salesman and a lefty he later ordered). He loved these guitars and highly valued them. Playing them only for his own pleasure and some studio work.
These were originally a Paul Barth, Bartell design redesigned by Harvey Gerst, produced is a small quantity (estimated 100 - 200) by the Acoustic Co. in California (C1972). Then production was farmed out to Japan (estimated 500 Japanese production). Then, C 1973, production came back to the US with Semi Mosley manufacturing the estimated last 200.
The Mosley Black Widows are by far the finest builds and most sought after.
Guitar is in overall excellent, original condition with some light finish wear and some small paint chips. Low action, straight neck and excellent original frets. Carved top with beautifully aged binding. Extremely comfortable player! Comes with non original hard-shell case in excellent shape and a folder containing some info on the Black Widow with pics of Hendrix and Zappa.

Because of the delicate nature of electronics and the possibility of parts swapping, all electric guitars are sold as is. I am not one of those people who makes it a habit of dissecting their guitars and photographing their guts: Only in a rare occasion, if the guitar merits it.
