We added a second custom banjo to our recent build order from Portland-based luthier, Matthew Arcara, and its striking look is completely unique amongst the banjos currently in stock. This banjo incorporates Arcara's usual 12" walnut pot, rolled brass tone ring and stained Renaissance head -- and it sounds a bit brighter than you'd expect. Still plenty warm, but with slightly more single note crispness. The peghead and frailing scoop feature hand-cut brass overlays, and the neck heel features Sten Havumaki's beautiful hand-carved detailing. The gun oil & wax finish lets your hand glide over the neck like it's been played for decades. Priced with Superior bump case. Have a look at the pictures and call us if you'd like more information!
