Arai Boeki began producing original Japanese-made guitars that could compete overseas, whereas the Japanese electric guitar industry was dominated by copy models made by Gibson and Fender.
The Aria Pro II PE series, a purely Japanese original shape guitar, was born from the relationship with Matsumoku.
Starting with the PE-1500 released in 1977, a wide variety of models have been released in the Aria Pro II flagship series up to the present.
This PE-1500 made in 1981 is the top-of-the-line model that directly reflects the requests of musicians while following the original PE-1500 released in 1981.
The neck scale adopts a medium scale neck.
The 1977 and 1978 PE-1500 had a machined maple body, but in order to reduce weight and give width and thickness to the midrange, a laminated body with mahogany between the archtop/back maple is used.
The name of Mr. Nobuaki Hayashi (H.Noble), who was a member of Matsumoku at that time and greatly contributed to the production of the PE series and is now producing Atlantia, is engraved on the head.
