Description

Offered is an example of playable fine art from the workbench of master craftsman and luthier, Matt Artinger. Each guitar that Matt builds is a one-of-a-kind instrument. This magnifcent Semi-Hollow electric was built in 2007 and remains in fantastic condition.

This guitar has a semi-hollow Mahogany body topped with a fabulous quilted Maple top finished in Natural. The body is 13.25" wide at the lower bout and is approximately 1.75" deep. It has a short (25") string scale, 22 frets, medium fret wire and a 1.650" nut width. The Mahogany neck is reinforced with carbon fiber and a sleek .830" C shape. It has a Gotoh Tune-O-Matic style bridge combined with an archtop style Ebony tailpiece. The electronics include two Seymour Duncan P-90's with figured Maple covers, master volume and tone controls along with a 3-way toggle switch. The guitar has a total weight of just 6.5 pounds. The body, fingerboard and headstock are trimmed with figured Maple and the fingerboard, tailpiece and headstock overlay are all made from Ebony. It has black hardware including Gotoh 510 tuners.

I am really impressed with Matt's work. Each of his guitars is a one-of-a-kind work of luthier art. And they play and sound even better than they look! Please check out the brief sound sample included in this listing. It has a tone that is somewhere between that of a 335 and a Les Paul and can do everything from crystal clean to over-driven crunch with ease!

This beautify archtop remains in excellent condition with no flaws of any significance. The frets looks like new as well. It comes in a newer premium hard case, also in excellent condition.

A guitar like this commissioned today would likely cost you around $7K and a lengthy wait. Get this near mint 2007 example for half that sum. Just a magnificent and unique semi-hollow electric from Matt Artinger. Make it yours!
