Freshly set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech. In Excellent condition with minimal wear for an instrument of this age including some light scratches and other minor signs of having been played. Made in the U.K. by people who take acoustic guitars very seriously. The aged finish is subtle and very well dialed in. The sound is clear and open with a vintage vibe. A truly lovely guitar. The Essential D offers 100% Atkin tone – stripped down to the bare essentials! Each Essential D sports a North American Sitka spruce top and braced with pre-war scalloped bracing, all of which is baked in house here at Atkin. Mahogany back and sides are complimented by a lightweight mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard – just like some of the finest Pre-War guitars. This is a time proven combination, extremely popular with songwriters, a work horse that never gets tired! The Essential D is available in two finish options, ‘Aged’ and ‘Mirror’.
