Here we have a very talented luthier, Gene Baker. Do not confuse this guitar with the imported Baker Guitars (Gene sold the name) by Ed Roman Guitars. This is an original 2001 Baker, made in the USA, B1 59 NAMM model, #76 out of a run of 100 guitars. This was a run of 100 guitars that Baker made to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of NAMM (the National Association of Music Merchants).
The 59 NAMM special guitar is in mint condition. The flame maple top in a faded cherry sunburst finish is immaculate. The frets show virtually no play wear.
The guitar sports Seymour Duncan pickups, Grover tuners, and all the features on this beauty function as was intended. The guitar comes with its hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity from Gene Baker. The guitar weighs in at 9lbs 2 oz.
By the way…Joe Bonamassa is a big fan of Gene’s guitars.
