Description

Here is another small guitar that would make a perfect couch buddy. Offered is this lovely 00-12 Fret made in 2013 by Marc Beneteau of Canada. This beautiful little 00 is about the size of a classical instrument, but has a voice that is surprisingly large. It has a select Sitka Spruce top with lots of lovely silking in the grain. The back and sides are made from an incredible set of figured Cocobolo Rosewood, the likes of which I have never seen before! It has a 25.5" string scale, a 12-fret Ebony neck, 1.75" bone nut, an Ebony pyramid bridge and 2.25" string spacing at the saddle. Marc also gave this guitar an optional upper bout side sound port that puts the player's ear closer to the music. The build quality on this guitar is amazing. It is immediately obvious that Marc sweats the small details. I found the guitar to be quite lively and responsive to the level of attack, be it intimately finger-picked or strummed with abandon. The intonation is superb. The tone is huge and rich for such a small guitar, with an expected emphasis on the mid and upper ranges. This beautiful instrument is in near mint condition. Superficial clearcoat scratches can be found on the back if you look really closely, the top has very light evidence of fingerstyle play below the sound hole and you will find a couple of string change scratches on the headstock upon close inspection. The frets show little to no wear. A new example of this guitar will cost you approximately $6,400 but you can have this lightly played beauty for far less. This is a small, exquisite guitar that is sure to please. Make it yours!
