Description

Offered for sale is this beautiful B&G Little Sister Classic Private Build. The Little Sister line was designed as a modern instrument with decidedly traditional roots and is loosely-based on the simple parlor-sized acoustics that early American bluesplayers often relied upon.

This 2018 Private Build Classic has a 1.75" thick chambered body made of highly figured Mahogany body with a flamed Maple top. It has a 14-fret (clear) Mahogany neck with a very soft V-shape and depth measurements of .89" at the first fret increasing to .96" at the tenth. The fretboard is Indian Rosewood with a 12" radius, vintage style frets and a 1.68" Tusq nut. It has a cool slotted headstock with side-mounted vintage style tuners with ivoroid buttons. The bridge setup includes a solid brass B&G archtop style tailpiece combined with a solid brass TOM style bridge piece. The electronics on this one are B&G's hand wound humbuckers with master volume, master tone, a three way switch and 50's style wiring. This guitar has a Tobacco Burst nitro matte finish with aged hardware and a total weight of just 7 pounds!

This guitar feels like it is part Les Paul, part parlor acoustic and part Dobro. Speaking of which, this instrument would make a fabulous slide guitar. It feels like a vintage piece, but plays like a much more modern electric. The short string scale makes it a joy to play and the tone is like a small ES 335. Please check out the brief sound sample provided.

This 2018 guitar is in excellent condition with only a few hard to see marks on the headstock from string changes and some oxidation on the aged hardware, particularly on the pickup covers. The frets remain in spotless condition. It comes in it's original Ameritage case along with the certificate of authenticity and the uninstalled brass pickguard.

You can spec a guitar just like this one directly from B&G at a cost of $4,870 plus a bit of a wait according to their website. For quality control purposes, B&G limits the number of instruments they build each month. Instead, get this lightly used 2018 model for quite a bit less. This would make a very cool addition to any musician's arsenal. Make this gorgeous Little Sister yours today!
