SN: 629. Friends, here is a new Blazer & Henkes OM-28 of Tubingen, Germany. Natural finish, Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with ivoroid binding and zigzag center strip, moon-logged Alpine Spruce (Haselfichte) top with herringbone trim, 5-9-5 rosette, ivoroid binding, ebony bridge and teardrop guard. Ebony fretboard bound with ivoroid with long pattern snowflakes and diamond inlays. Bound Brazilian face plate with inlaid logo. Mahogany neck with volute and Waverly tuners.
Another interesting and, frankly, inspiring guitar from the boys in Tubingen. While everything about it is dead solid perfect as per usual, this guitar packs something special. It’s the first OM/000 sized guitar I’ve had from B&H and it’s a delight. The build is very light, the neck carve is super comfortable, frets feel great and the geometry is perfect. It plays very comfortably up and down the neck. The tone is balanced and rich with some power on the bottom end, not unlike a dread. The workmanship, materials, top tuning and setup have all come together in this one. It’s a joy to play with fingers or pick and hard to put down.
Comes with a good quality Guardian case.
