Mike Pinera of Iron butterfly and Blues image chose to record his new version of "In A Godda Da Vida" on our amp and our BootLegger "the Classic" guitar at Studio 637. Look for a new Blues Image release soon.
This amp holds its own. It is not as refined as a Louis Electric, 3 Monkey (we are a dealer for both and love them) or similar high end amps.
This amp is a value priced Tube Amp that beats the sheets of anything in its class.
Extra vintage coolness - uniqueness "Like Aged Whiskey"
Los Angeles, Calif. - Bootlegger Guitars, a boutique manufacturer based in Southern Cal, has expanded into the amplifier market with the release of The Blues 30. Like other ventures undertaken by Chuck Wilson, a long-time Hermosa Beach local, blues guitarist and rally car driver, these new additions to the Bootlegger lineup have not gone unnoticed.
>“Like my cars, I began hot-rodding my equipment to get the sound and feel I was looking for,” Wilson said. “I knew right away when I got it right. The amp is exactly what I wanted so I built a few more.”
A relative newcomer in the amp market, the Blues 30 has been well-received by those who are lucky enough to come across them. With a tone reminiscent (but unique) of the old Fender tube amps, they put out enough volume to fill a small club with anything from Hendrix to Zeppelin to Clapton.
>“I wanted to build an amp reminiscent of the whiskey-soaked, blues-sound of the South - complex tones with a smooth output. Like a good whiskey,” Wilson said, “I was looking for that 98- proof blues sound.”
The Blues 30 is available at major online retailers zZounds and Amazon, or direct from Bootleggerguitar.com
