This is a beautiful instrument hand made in 2005 by luthier Roger Borys (Roger apprenticed with Jimmy D' Aquisto). It has a very comfortable neck with low action and an ebony fretboard. The guitar is in good condition, however, there ARE dings on the soundboard from 11 years of playing it . These jazz-classic guitars have a very clear even tone across all strings which is probably obtained by a combination of the sound board bracing and the violin-style carved back. This model currently costs $6000 to have one made.
I've recorded with the B520 Jazz Classic model in the past - tracks 5,7,8,10 on the following link will give you an idea of what a B520 sounds like: Listen to Guitar - http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/xifaras
Red spruce soundboard
Flamed maple back & sides
Sunburst finish, maple binding
25.5" scale length
1 15/16" wide at nut
Flamed maple neck
K&K Systems - components are made up of a microphone in the sound hole and transducers under the soundboard. You can split the sound in stereo, giving the flexibility of being able to EQ each sound source using a stereo cable.
