最初期ラインナップの一台で、BOSS史上もっとも入手が困難な幻のペダルです！
エフェクト効果としては言わばマイケル・シェンカーのようなワウの途中止めサウンドが得られます。500Hz〜5kHzの周波数帯を連続可変するスペクトラムと、そのピークを設定するバランスのコントロールを持つパラメトリックEQで、当時のRolandアンプに多く装備されていた"スペクトラムコントロール"と似た機能です。1977年の10月〜1981年11月まで販売されましたが、当時の売れ行きは今一歩だったという理由もあり世の中に出回っている台数も非常に少ないと思われます。惜しくもICが交換されておりますが、ソケットも増設されていますので、色々なICを交換して簡単に試してみることもできそうです。
