Description

Bourgeois is undoubtedly one of the most respected names in all of guitar making and with good reason. This particular guitar was made by Bourgeois himself for Music legend Ricky Skaggs, winner of 14 Grammys and 8 CMA awards including Entertainer of the Year. Ricky is considered by everyone I know in the music industry to be one of the very finest instrumentalists to ever live. Ricky not only owned this guitar but played it extensively. So yes it has a pedigree but it also is an amazing instrument in it's own right. This is an extremely dressed up and fancy D-18 and utilizes some of the most aesthically pleasing wood ever put on a guitar. It looks fantastic on stage. The mahogany back and sides is truly the most beautiful I've ever seen. The Adirondack top, the most important component of tone in my estimation, sings. The engraved gold waverly tuners are stunning and the abalone trim around the sound hole by the tortoise shell style guard are even more special touches. The snowflake inlay fret markers will remind you that you own something special each time you hold it. Bourgeois went above and beyond on this piece. It is in near mint condition and plays effortlessly. This guitar comes with a signed letter from Ricky Skaggs indicating his ownership and use of the guitar. Come grab your piece of history and remember- If it is good enough for Ricky Skaggs, it is good enough for you. 6,950 dollars.
