Serial # 003778. With its gorgeous Brazilian rosewood back and sides, master-grade Adirondack Red spruce top, single-scalloped X bracing and meticulous craftsmanship, this custom D-150 is a guitar that leaves little to be desired. It’s a loud, balanced, and even flatpicker, with classic Brazilian darkness and Red-spruce snap and horsepower. A remarkable Dreadnought, and one that’s real fun to play.
The guitar is in very fine condition, and has just been carefully set-up in our repair shop. Fretwear is minimal, and the finish is nearly flawless. There is a small dent on the lower treble side and a tiny ding on one of the back corners of the headstock, but no other flaws. Very attractive tonewoods, bound headstock and fingerboard, attractive black and white purflings and pearl rosette, and stylized herringbone backstrip. Gold Waverly tuning machines, bone nut and saddle, bone bridgepins and end pin.
Fast feeling low profile neck with slight V to its profile, 1-3/4” nut width, 25.5” scale length, and 2-3/16” string spread at the bridge.
