Description

Dana Bourgeois builds amazing guitars in very low numbers up in Maine. Many, myself included, think his "DB Signature" guitars are among his best. Offered here is a superb Signature OM built in December of 2015.

This is a 14-fret guitar with a gorgeous straight-grained Adirondack Spruce top, with back and sides made of similarly straight-grained East Indian Rosewood. Other key specs include: a 25-1/2" scale length; 1-3/4" bone nut; 2-5/16" string spacing; figured Koa bindings; DB signature herringbone purfling; multi-color herringbone backstrip; a Mahogany neck; an Ebony fretboard with ivory inlays; an Ebony bridge; bone bridge and end pins; Zircote headstock overlay; and gold Waverly tuners.

This guitar is much more than a cosmetic masterpiece. The playability and tone are just as impressive. Dana voices his guitars to be rich and full with plenty of note separation. It is also quite responsive and the output moderates easily depending on the level of your attack. The setup is superb and the 12th fret string heights measure 6/64" at the low E side and 4/64" at the high E side.

While built in 2015, this guitar is in superb condition and could be sold as new. I can find no evidence of play and the frets are flawless. It comes in it's original TKL case in similarly mint condition.

A new example of this instrument will set you back $6K. Get this superb and seemingly unplayed example for a bunch less. As premium OM's go, this Bourgeois has it all! Make it yours....
