Description

Take an OM body and pair it with a 12-fret neck and you have the Bourgeois OMS. The architecture of this guitar combined with the tone woods that Dana has selected make for a stunning sounding and playing small body instrument.

This beautiful 12-fret guitar has a German Spruce top, back and sides made of lovely figured Koa and a Mahogany neck. It has a 25.5" string scale, 1.75" bone nut and 2-5/16" string spacing at the saddle. The body, neck and headstock are bound in white ivoroid. The cosmetic touches include herringbone purfling and a zipper-style back strip; a black Ebony fretboard with slotted diamonds and squares inlays; a slotted headstock with Ziricote overlay; side-mounted bronze-finish Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons; a tortis celluloid pickguard; and bone bridge and end pins with Ebony dots.

As good as this instrument looks, it has a lush tone that is even better. Listen to the provided sound sample and check out the provided video to hear just how sweet this guitar can sound. The European Spruce top and the Koa make for a warm tone but one that isn't overly dark. The tone is quite substantial in the low and middle registers, while offering up rich harmonics and lots of high end shimmer.

It plays as good as it looks and sounds too. The setup is superb with a nice low setup with 9th fret string heights of 5/64" on the high side and 4/64" on the high side. The low profile C-neck is a pleasure to play.

This instrument is in near mint condition with the exception of one tiny pen-tip impression near the top binding (see photo) and you might have missed this if it weren't noted. Otherwise this guitar is in near flawless condition and the frets show little if any wear. It comes in it's similarly nice original TKL case.

A new example of this superb 12-fret would cost at least $5.5K, but this lightly played 2014 example can be yours for $2K less. Make this luscious Bourgeois OMS yours today!
