A very handsome guitar, this Bourgeois Small Jumbo was custom built with figured Bubinga back and sides, a bearclaw-figured Sitka spruce top, Ziracote headstock overlay and bindings, and maple purflings.
We all love the Small Jumbo shape that Bourgeois has been making for the last few years. At 15.5” wide, the guitar is a bigger than a 000 but smaller than a Dreadnought, and the curvy shape allows it to sit lower on your lap, making it feel a bit smaller than it actually is. It’s a very comfortable guitar to hold, nicely balanced, and offers up a warm, balanced and controllable tone. An exceptional fingerstyle guitar, it has a great mid-range presence and distinctly open bass register. Treble notes are round and forward, and there is a lovely overtone flowering underneath it all.
The guitar features a C shaped neck with medium to fast carve, 1-23/32” nut width, 24-7/8” scale, and a string spread of 2.2”. Ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, Waverly tuning machines, and bevelled TorTis pickguard.
In beautiful condition, the guitar is without scratches, repairs, or any kind of playwear. Fresh set up by our shop.
With original deluxe hardshell case.
