We’re not sure of the exact year that this fantastic guitar was made as there is no date written in it, but its last owner, who was only the second owner, approximated it as 2007. What we are sure of is how totally stupendous a guitar it is. It has been serial numbered and signed in ink and stamped inside with the maker’s name. I can remember seeing instruments by Bozo Podunavac back in the 1960s, especially his 12-srting models, being played by such luminaries as Leo Kottke, and being totally amazed by them. This particular Bozo is simply as great as it gets. It is of the Dreadnaught size with full cutaway body design, and with gorgeous straight-grain Brazilian rosewood back and sides of a grade that is exceedingly difficult to obtain nowadays; the Sitka spruce top has got perfectly fine grain as well. The decoration on the top, back, sides and neck are as elaborate as I’ve ever seen on a Bozo, with heart-of-abalone and wood marquetry trim on all edges, mother-of-pearl fleur-de-lys inlays on the fingerboard, and a loveliest of floral patterns on the peghead. I could go on, but the pictures speak for themselves, and the guitar itself will really speak for itself once it’s in your hands. The neck has a beautiful soft contour and the acton is as low and easy as can be. Overall condition is most excellent with virtually no fret wear, and only one slight dent in the finish on the top and one extremely minor older back crack that has been so cleverly done as to make it nearly impossible to detect. This is a guitar that cannot be duplicated, at any price; it is the very real deal and the epitome of the entire 12-srting acoustic guitar world. $16,000 w/hsc
