Offered for sale; 2000 Brubaker B 1 serial number 2000-00. This guitar is in near-mint condition. The neck and frets are without issue, cosmetically beautiful.
Personal brands are those unique guitars that have been built by the hands of an independent builder, many times working alone, who is building with their hands what their mind has already created. And as it is being built, the guitar becomes a “personal brand”. Kevin Brubaker’s attention to detail, finish and workmanship are flawless, the quality of Kevin’s guitars is nothing short of Private Stock, Custom Shop or Master Build.
In the 1999-2001 period these guitars were hand built by Kevin himself (most came from his shop before a fire that caused him to move to a new building). They feature the unique neck joint that is called a neck thru bolt on. The neck basically disappears 7 inches into the body of the guitar and is bolted in with 4 countersunk large screws. The ‘deep pocket’ is a great alternative to a set neck, regular bolt on, and through the body neck. It gives incredible sustain.
This guitar is one of the original Brubaker B1 Series guitars. It was built by Kevin in 2000, hence the serial number 2000-00.
Featuring a “AAA” quilted maple top on a mahogany body with a maple neck. Maple finger board with a 25.5” scale length and a 1 11/16” nut width.
Seymour Duncan pickups are fitted, Pearly Gates-neck, SSL-2 Vintage Flat Pole Piece-middle and Pearly Gates-bridge. 5-way pickup selector switch, one volume and one tone control, Schaller locking tuners, The Point Technology tremolo system and a Graph-Tec nut round out the specs.
The accolades and praises of these Brubaker guitars are very intense and passionate, high end instrument, chances are no one else on the gig is going to pull out one of these.
Visually beautiful, sonically diverse, craftsmanship par excellence.
Original hard shell case included.
*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
