From the esteemed workshop of Maryland luthier Craig Bumgarner, comes this Gypsy Jazz workhorse. Based on the instruments Django Reinhardt played in the late 1930s, this guitar has a petit bouche body (14 frets to the body) with a 640mm scale fingerboard. Craig's craftsmanship is of the highest quality. The Lutz spruce top compliments the stunning birdseye maple back and sides. The ebony fingerboard has EVO frets for exceptional durability, a three-piece butternut neck with a walnut spline, a lovely French polish finish to the body and neck.
The instrument shows signs of play wear, primarily pick scratches near the soundhole and scratches on the back. The sound is all Selmer - very dry with a punchy tone for rhythm and a fat high end that cuts through the jam. Strung with Argentine 11s, this guitar is ready to swing.
