Description

How often do you come across one of these? This is an all-original (circa) 1964 Burns Black Bison! Burns London is an English electric guitar manufacturer, and at its peak in the ’60s was the most successful guitar company in England. English pop bands like The Honeycombs or The Shadows were booming at the time, and they often used these instruments! These were the most Strat-like guitars to come out of England. Fender’s influence on the body is undeniable. However, the shape is also evocative of a Bison’s horns (hence the name!). Other appointments include three Ultra-Sonic single coil pickups, four plastic skirt knobs, and a Series 2 Vibrato system featuring an engraved Bison head. This batwing style headstock is reminiscent of the Epiphone solid body headstock design, and the bound fretboard is made of Ebony. All of the hardware is chrome and original. This is an excellent opportunity to pick up this remarkably cool ’60s guitar that encapsulates that decade of music!
