SN 48345. SALE PENDING -- Here is a scrappy little 1931 12-fret, bar fret, blues crusader that has seen multiple repairs and is priced accordingly. Twelve frets clear of the body, all mahogany construction, no binding, plain headstock with stamp on reverse side. Original tuners. There are 3-4 long repaired cracks on the back, an impact crack on the sides, one or two on the top. The finish is a bit of a patchwork of original and overspray. The bridge has been lowered. It appears to have been sat on of damaged in shipping but years ago. The back has been off, probably for easier access to the side impact area and has been capably but not artfully rebuilt with glue and cleats. My luthier has looked at it and feels that with light strings and proper care, it’ll hold up for another lifetime. It comes with an old Harptone case (Brooklyn) that is in good shape and probably worth $400. It’s an addictive little guy to play if you like the 1 7/8” nut and can overlook the cosmetic issues. Comes with an old style sound hole pickup installed.
