SALE PENDING: SN: 28027. Friends, here is an incredibly clean 1926 Martin 00-28 with natural lacquer finish, amazing Brazilian back and sides, immaculate spruce top; mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, and original hard shell case with purple lining. It’s very lightly built with a super-thin finish, even reminiscent of a 19th century guitar yet with a SN late enough to be braced for steel. Original engraved Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons, bar frets, and slotted diamond fingerboard inlay. We have taken a minimalist approach to improve the playability. The neck has been reset, five frets were replaced to straighten the neck, a is completely dialed in. repairs and final setup by Mark Tossman. Condition-wise, there’s one scratch in the back and a surface check on the top that does not go through the wood. Truly a lovely sounding, beautiful guitar that harkens to another era. We have it set up with custom lights which Mark thinks is the right gauge. As mentioned, comes with the original, very clean double diamond case.
