SN 92106. SALE PENDING. Welcome return of a rare 1945 000-18 with a shaded top in amazing condition that is easy on the eyes and the ears. Adirondack top double bound, mahogany back and sides, rosewood bridge and fretboard, ebony neck reinforcement, original flatback tuners. Some scratches, checking, and shallow capo marks but overall quite clean and original. Completely untouched mechanically until Frank Ford performed a neck reset and refret. This is a tapered brace era guitar, one of the earlier ones where the tapering is more aggressive and the tone more resonant and complex. The setup is terrific, it plays with low action and a nice chunky modified V neck. A competent finger- and flat-picker, the sound is focused, clear, with punch and nice overtones. Original Lifton hardcase, also in excellent condition.
