2008 C.F. Martin & Co. 000-18 Authentic 1937 Excellent, Original Hard, $3,699.00
1282189...Spectacular and faithful re-creation of the pre-war 000-18, this guitar features solid mahogany back and sides, solid Adirondack spruce top, solid mahogany neck, ebony fret board and bridge, steel "T" bar neck reinforcement, 1/4" scalloped forward-shifted traditional X bracing and a 1 3/4" nut with 2 5/16" pin spacing. The body is bound in black with simple line top purfling, classic style 18. Hide glue construction. This example is in excellent + condition, showing almost no signs of handling or play anywhere. There is one spot on the back (visible in one of the photos) where the finish has taken an imprint from the case lining or some other fabric, the finish is not softened though and the imprint is very shallow. In my opinion the impression is shallow enough that with some careful wet sanding and buffing it will likely disappear entirely, but it is visible at the moment and the guitar will be sold with that finish issue. Other than that, the guitar is spotless. Frets excellent, neck straight, top flat, intonation great, no issues. The action is set at 7/64" and 5/64" with 1/8" of saddle showing, plenty there to take it down if desired. That said, it plays great for fingerstyle or strumming/flat picking as it is. The guitar has a balanced, powerful voice with great clarity , very crisp and woody. Comes with the original hardshell case with brown tolex exterior and cabernet interior lining. $3699

If an item is going to be returned it is at the buyer's expense and the item must be shipped within 24 hours of the buyer notifying Kovacik Guitars of intent to return. Any returned items must be shipped in the original packaging and MUST be fully insured when returned.
