Description

SN: 74472. Mojo approved. Wonderful playing and sounding prewar D-18 with playwear in all the right places. It responds to a light touch and won’t break up under heavy attack. A wonderful tone that is incisive and rich which an attacking bluegrass bass and wonderful chordal blooming. It certainly has seen its share of action. The top seems to be crack free, at least the kind that go through the wood. There are two long and one short cracks on the back that are cleanly repaired without cleats and very stable. Sides have one or two one inch cracks that are stable. Plenty of scratches and dings but no debilitating case bites. The neck was reset I believe at Elderly where it received a repro bridge and perfect setup. The action is medium low with saddle to go down if needed sometime down the road. There may be a little touchup around the bridge but it blends well with the patina of the guitar. The neck is the soft V with the 1 11/16th nut and 2 1/8th string spacing at the bridge. It’s addictive to play and makes me sound much better than I am. Comes with one of those plastic Martin cases that do a great job protecting at festivals. On consignment.
