2010 Carvin Icon Series IC-5 5-String Transparent Blue

Excellent condition featuring double cutaway alder body with maple neck through construction, figured quilted maple top, active electronics, two pickups with black covers with Carvin logo, four electronics controls (two concentric controls and two with abalone tops), maple neck, rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays, 3/2 Carvin stamped tuning machines, transparent blue finish, matching quilted peghead face with abalone inlaid Carvin logo, string through body construction with five metal string ferrules, black plastic covered battery compartments and electronics control plate, chrome plated metal hardware, serial number impressed into the fingerboard at the 23rd fret, two metal strap buttons, and original rectangular hard shell case (with assorted stickers - see photos). This bass weighs 9lb.

This used Carvin 5-string bass is in excellent cosmetic condition showing almost no signs of play wear throughout (see photos). The neck profile is wide and flat with rounded shoulders and feels very nice in the hand. The frets on this bass show virtually no signs of play wear and this Carvin plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard. Both Carvin pickups sound very good and have a very nice low end tone with plenty of articulate cut. The quilted maple top is very attractive especially paired with the transparent blue finish and the dark rosewood fingerboard. The build quality of this bass is superb in comparison to other instruments in the price range which was something that Carvin took great pride in during their years of instrument manufacturing.
