10-15/16'' calfskin head on metal-clad wooden rim, 48 brackets (at least 5 nuts are replacements), walnut neck with ebony fretboard and large pearl dots, metal plate at base of neck stamped ''CELEBRATED BENARY BANJO,'' mechanical friction tuners with ivoroid buttons (1 tuner appears newer than the others, although none of these tuners are likely original), mechanical 5th peg, made by Buckbee, with gigbag, VGC-EC but needs work (replace patched head, reglue loose dowel stick, level frets, new strings, setup, etc. - sold AS-IS) Item ID 60U-2959. 13 photos at http://www.elderly.com/vintage/items/60U-2959.htm
