Description

Offered is this superb Collings 0002HA built in 2015. The 0002H is a 12-fret instrument with a standard (25.5") string scale. This guitar has an upgraded Adirondack Spruce top, a $1,000 Collings option. The back and sides are straight-grained East Indian Rosewood. The neck is made of Honduran Mahogany with a Modified V neck shape and medium frets. It has a 1-13/16" bone nut and drop-in saddle. The string spacing at the bridge is 2-5/16" with fingerstyle players in mind. The pyramid-style bridge, the fretboard and the headstock overlay are made of Ebony. It has a slotted headstock with volute and side-mounted nickel Waverly tuners. Custom cosmetics on this guitar include an Abalone rosette and a mulit-color backstrip as you would find on a more expensive Collings 3 model.

For such an elegantly-sized guitar with a body that is only 15" wide and 20.25" in length, this thing can roar. If you like the size of an OM, but would prefer more bass and overall volume, try out a 12-fret 000 like this guitar - you will be amazed! Listen to the sound sample provided and I think you will agree that this instrument has a superb voice.

As you would expect from a Collings instrument, this guitar has a fabulous setup and nearly plays itself. The 12th fret string heights measure 6/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side.

This recently built instrument is in near mint condition with virtually no flaws of any significance. The frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's similarly mint Collings/TKL case with the unexecuted warranty card.

This is a magnificent guitar in as new condition that is sure to please. Marvelous!
