This Collings 002H MRG Madagascar acoustic guitar delivers unbelievable tone and classic looks with its German Spruce top and increasingly rare Madagascar Rosewood back and sides. It's a comfortable 00 12-fret-style acoustic with a full and clear tone that suits many playing styles, but fingerstyle players in particular will appreciate the clarity and note definition. Its German Spruce top has a tone similar to Sitka's sparkle and Adirondack's punchiness but with a flair all its own. Couple that with the gorgeous Madagascar Rosewood back and sides and you've got one helluva player with an excellent tone and plenty of headroom. Collings impeccable standards ensure that this instrument is perfect from the squared slotted headstock right down to the Ebony endpin. With an Ebony fingerboard, Mahogany neck with a Modified V neck shape, a 24 7/8" scale length, and 1 13/16" nut width and 2 5/16" string spacing, it's an incredibly comfortable and smooth player. It has a lovely and rich tone and is loaded with Collings' perfect appointments, including a high gloss nitrocellulose finish, grained Ivoroid binding, a cross-cut grained Ivoroid and wood nitrate strip rosette, a tortoise-style celluloid pickguard, Herringbone trim and mother-of-pearl diamond and square fretboard inlays. It features a bone nut, a fully adjustable truss rod, a drop-in saddle and a very sharp looking Ebony pyramid-style bridge.
