2017 Collings 002 Custom Sunburst

A stunning, knockout, custom-built Collings, as all Collings guitars are, this one being a plus-plus-plus one. Based on their 002H model, this custom-made 12-fret Collings with 1-3/4“ nut width has got the loveliest of flamed maple back, sides, and neck; Adirondack braces, rope purfling on its top, and the sweetest tone this side of heaven, with all the clarity that only maple can produce. Finish is what Collings called, on their original build sheet, Full Body Sunburst, which to my eye is about the subtlest coloration I’ve ever seen on any guitar, anywhere. Low action for all you fingerpicking aficionados, and literally in mint condition, barely ever touched since the day it was delivered.
