Offered is another superb little Collings, in this case an 01 Sunburst model built in 2008 and in amazing condition! The 01 is a small body, short scale, 14-fret instrument.
The 01 has a body length of 18-3/16", a lower bout width of 13-7/16", a body depth of 4-1/8" and a total length of 38". It has a scale length of 24-7/8" and this example was ordered with a 1-3/4" nut width. The top is Sitka Spruce with a beautiful sunburst nitro finish. The back and sides are made of Honduran Mahogany. The fretboard, pyramid style bridge, the headstock overlay and the bridge and end pins are made of Ebony. The 14-fret Honduran Mahogany neck has Collings' Modified V shape with 2-3/16" string spacing. The Ebony fretboard has a 14"-26" compound radius with vintage style Abalone diamond and square inlays. The tuners are nickel Waverlys with 16:1 ratios.
These Collings guitars are incredibly good. This lovely 01 has a marvelous tone which is balanced, crisp and woody. Please listen to the included sound sample and I think you will agree. With it's small body and it's short string scale it is a joy to play. It is perfectly setup up with 12th fret string heights of 6/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side.
While built in 2008 this little beauty remains in near mint condition. It shows no flaws of any significance and the frets show no observable wear. Even the pickguard is near flawless! It comes in it's similarly mint Collings/TKL hardshell case. A new example of this instrument costs approximately $4,500 but this near mint 2008 example can be yours for far less.

Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery.
