Offered is yet another superb small body instrument from Collings, in this case an 03 BRA 12-Fret Custom built in 2015 and in virtually unplayed condition. This is a small body, short scale, 12-fret instrument with string spacing which will appeal primarily to fingerstyle players, although it is a great flatpicker too! This is a highly-upgraded, custom-ordered guitar.
The 03 12 Fret has a body length of 19", a lower bout width of 13-3/4" and a body depth of 4" and a total length of 37-3/4". It has a scale length of 24-7/8" and this example was ordered with a custom 1-3/4" nut width. The top is Adirondack Spruce and the back and sides are made of Brazilian Rosewood, thus the 'BRA' in the model designation. The fretboard, pyramid style bridge, the headstock overlay and the bridge and strap pins are made of Ebony. The 12-fret Mahogany neck has Collings' Modified V shape with 2-5/16" string spacing and the fingerboard has a 14"-26" compound radius. In addition to the standard 3-series cosmetics, this custom guitar has Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay; Collings' abalone "Torch" headstock inlay; style 42 abalone fingerboard inlays, gold Waverly tuners and added binding.
This little guitar is beautiful to behold, play and hear. The short scale geometry and Collings' setup make it super easy to play. The tone is clear and succinct with great note separation and the output will amaze you. Check out the brief sound sample provided and I think you will agree.
The condition of this guitar is about as close to new as a previously-owned instrument can be. It shows no flaws of any significance and the frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's similarly mint Collings/TKL hardshell case and the original paperwork.
When new, this incredible piece listed for nearly $11K and sold for approximately $10K. Get this spotless 2015 example for a cool $3K less. A high-end small body Collings sure to blow you away!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
