Description
It's impossible not to look cool while you are holding this guitar. Jet black with a tortoise pickguard, this Collings 290 just screams rock'n'roll... or americana, jazz, pop, country, whatever you want. There is no genre of music in which this guitar wouldn't be appropriate on-stage. It will also look just as cool on your couch, or on your wall, or in your bathroom. You get the point. It's hot. All looks aside, the Collings 290 has earned it's reputation as the perfect workingman's guitar. The 290 goes where no LP Jr. went before. Comfort contours fit it's body to yours, with no uncomfortable edges to rub up against. Always perfectly balanced and relatively light, the 290 is also quite possibly the ultimate vehicle for Jason Lollar's renowned P90s, which have the dark dynamics of the vintage inspiration with added definition and bark.
