The Collings Baby 3 is very deceptive - when it's played, all that sound you hear couldn't possibly be coming from this little guitar! Using what is basically a 3/4 size, 12.5 inch wide Collings OM body and a 24 1/8 inch scale length, the Collings Baby 3 manages to produce far more sound, with great tone, than would be expected.

Despite its size, the Collings Baby 3 performs and looks every bit as you'd expect from a Collings. The tone is tight, focused, with sparkling trebles, rich mids and full bass, and there's a surprising degree of projection. The build and finish quality are typical Collings, which is to say extremely good.

This example was built during 2007 at the Collings shop in Austin, Texas. It features a Spruce top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and bridge, and is equipped with a K&K Dual Source Trinity pickup system. It is in very good condition, and comes with the original arched top hardshell case.
