2019 Collings City Limits Deluxe Acid Wash Charcoal Quilt with ThroBaks & Ebony FB
Offered is this killer quilt top Collings City Limits Deluxe. This heavily optioned CL was built in 2019 and initially sold by Lark Guitars of San Antonio. This guitar is something special!
Collings gave this City Limits Deluxe a host of upgrades. Most obvious is it's incredible quilted maple top, an option that would cost you a cool grand if ordered today. It also has very cool Acid Wash Charcoal Sunburst nitro gloss finish, an option that gives the fabulous quilt top even more visual dimension and impact. It was further bestowed with a gorgeous black ebony fingerboard with parallelogram inlays that is perfect for this incredible instrument. The bound headstock has an ebony overlay with optional parallelogram inlay that completes the look. The options were not all cosmetic however, as the electronics were also upgraded via a set of ThroBak ER-Custom humbuckers. All told, a CLD ordered today with these options would cost you over $7,500! The 24-7/8" scale length Honduran Mohagany neck has a medium/fat C shape like you would find on a '59 LP (.865" - .975"). The lovely ebony fretboard has a 12" radius and a 1-11/16" nut width. It weighs just 8 pounds, 1 ounce.
This guitar plays and sounds even better than it looks. As a Collings, it nearly plays itself and the ebony fretboard is a beautiful added bonus. The tone is very LP-like, but with a bit of added clarity courtesy of Collings. Please check out the brief sound sample attached below for a taste of this guitar's tone.
This is a fabulous instrument that has not been a case queen. Up close the dark glossy finish shows a bit of play wear as shown in the included photos. These flaws aren't easily seen and are purely cosmetic. The neck and frets are in near mint condition. The guitar comes in it's original Collings / Ameritage case which is in very fine condition.

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
