I've had Collings make about a half-dozen guitars with these exact specs over the past twenty-five years and every single one has been beyond stunning, in every way. A traditionally-dimensioned Dreadnaught with standard neck width, Indian rosewood back and sides for warmth, and a German spruce top for pure brilliance and pinpoint clarity of tone. Perfect bass, perfect trebles, perfect midrange; there's really nothing else quite like it, anywhere. Herringbone top trim; Ivoroid-bound body, fingerboard and peghead; abalone soundhole rosette; an unmarked fingerboard for a most elegant look. A very satisfied buyer of one of these years ago said "Sounds so big and clean, I can hardly believe it". We agree totally.
