2011 Collings I-35 Deluxe Amber Sunburst
Offered for your consideration is this Collings I-35 Deluxe completed in 2011. You will see a lot of these fine guitars in our inventory simply because they are among the very best semi-hollow electrics being built today and we invest in superb examples whenever we can.
This guitar has a solid (not laminated) carved and a premium flame Maple top (a $450 upgrade) with binding and black/white purfling over a semi-hollow Mahogany body with a Maple center. The Mahogany neck is Collings' medium/fat C-shape, measuring .865" at the first fret, increasing to .995" at the twelfth fret. The highly figured Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard has upgraded parallelogram inlays and binding. The bone nut has a width of 1-11/16", the fretboard radius is 12". The pickups are Lollar Low Wind Imperials which sound superb in this guitar. The guitar light in weight (6 pounds, 15 ounces) and superbly balanced.
These I-35's are a joy to look at, play and listen to. I don't know how Collings does it, but each of their I-35 models plays like it was carved from a single block of wood. This guitar in particular is light and resonant, with a voice that puts any ES-335 to shame (IMHO). Please check out the brief sound sample included herein. No matter what style of music you play, this guitar is a worthy tool for your creativity.
This guitar is in "excellent minus" condition, with only very light evidence of play, including a couple of very tiny pen-tip sized indentations on the top as shown in the included photos. You will really have to look to find these imperfections. The frets are in superb condition. It comes in its original Collings / Ameritage case, also in great shape.
A new I-35 Deluxe will cost you close to $7K these days. Get this lightly played 2011 example for far less. Just a marvelous semi-hollow electric ready to please for years to come. Make this beauty yours!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
