Offered is this superb and lightly played 2016 Collings I35 Deluxe with a relatively unique European Spruce top. The I35 is easily one of the finest semi-hollow electric guitars currently available. It takes the very best characteristics of the ES335 design which it emulates and raises the build quality, playability and tone standards to a whole new level.
The specs for this very special I35 Deluxe include: a solid, non-laminated top made of straight-grained European Spruce over a Honduran Mahogany semi-hollow body with solid Maple center block; a finish of high gloss blonde nitrocellulose lacquer; a Honduran Mahogany neck with Collings' medium/fat C-shaped neck with depth measurements of .86" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th; a dark and nicely figured Madagascar Rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius, medium frets and a 1.6875" bone nut; an extra long mortise and tenon neck joint; a locking TonePros bridge and tailpiece; deluxe cosmetics including grained ivoroid binding for the body, neck and headstock, ivoroid knobs, pickup rings and tuner buttons; and for electronics, Lollar low wind humbuckers with 50's style wiring, CTS pots and Jupiter Vintage Yellow caps.
This guitar is incredibly light, even for a Collings I35, weighing just 6.4 pounds! Not only is it particularly light, but the Spruce top also makes this one of the most resonant and clear voiced I35's I've had the privilege of playing. Please listen to the provided sound sample. This beauty was briefly owned and played by a pro who loved the characteristics of this guitar so much that he had another Spruce top I35 custom built exactly to his specifications. Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
