DESCRIPTION
For your consideration a 2013 Collings OM2H in a Natural finish. Such a lively and rich instrument! Pre-war scalloped bracing and specific tone wood selection provide a vintage voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, with quick attack and strong projection.

Specs! This guitar is in very good condition and comes with its original hard shell case. Nickel Waverly butterbean tuners. Rosewood headstock overlay and pearl logo inlay. Bone nut with a 1-11/16″ width. Mahogany neck with a depth of .87″ at the first fret and .98″ at the twelfth fret. It has a 25.5″ scale length. Ebony fingerboard with a 16″-24″ compound radius. 20 medium frets. Spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides in a natural gloss finish. Herringbone binding. A K&K Pure Mini pick up was installed along with a correlating output jack where the end pin is located. A strap button was installed on the heel of the neck. Ebony bridge with a bone saddle. Weighs 4 pounds and 4 ounces.

Such a wonderful and flexible instrument! The OM size is extremely comfortable and fits many players much better then other traditional models. An excellent tool for a solo fingerpick. Jazz chord melodies work extremely well on this OM. Would make a great accompanying instrument wether for vocals or instrumental solos. Another fantastic instrument from Collings!

‘OM’ stands for “Orchestra Model,” but 80 years after this body shape was first designed it has become the most popular 14-fret model with fingerstyle guitar soloists who choose to play on steel strings. Yet flatpickers also find it appealing, and when the graceful cutaway is added these OMs are often used by lead players who routinely explore all 20 frets much as they would on an electric guitar. The compact shape makes the Collings OM equally easy to handle onstage or when sitting on the couch, and the relatively shallow body (barely over 4 inches deep) results in balanced tone and an immediate response.
