Description

We are huge fans of virtually every model Collings makes, acoustics and electrics alike. The quality of their instruments is amazing and their tone and playability are among the best in the business. The recent loss of founder Bill Collings was a sad day for the entire guitar community.

Offered here is this superb and near mint Collings OM3 built in 2015. This is a 25-1/2" scale guitar with a 1-3/4" bone nut and 2-3/16" string spacing. It has a Sitka Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. The Honduran Mahogany neck has Collings' Modified V neck shape with depth measurements of .86" at the 1st fret and .95" at the 9th fret. It has an Ebony fingerboard and bridge. T3he guitar has the upgraded '3' series cosmetics with grained ivoroid binding throughout, an Abalone rosette and a multi-color backstripe.

If you have ever played a Collings guitar, you know what to expect. This guitar has a clear, balanced tone, with strong note definition and rich harmonics. It is superbly responsive to finger or pick and it sustains for days! The gorgeous Sitka top has a clear, straight grain. The Rosewood used on the back and sides is particularly beautiful as well.

This guitar came to us in virtually unplayed condition and could likely be sold as new in most shops. The frets show zero observable wear as well. It comes in it's original Colllings TKL case also in mint/near mint condition.

If you are looking for a ultra-high quality, small body guitar to help you express yourself, it would be hard do better than with this beautiful and virtually unplayed Collings OM3. Highly recommended....
