[Overview]
Kenon flugelhorn with 150mm two-piece yellow brass bells. Lacquer finish. Mouthpiece receiver with straight shank(*). Instrument weight 1117 grams, manufactured around 1970. Included: flugel & trumpet double semi-hard case (used/scuffed).
Straight shank mouthpiece fits. Tapered shank mouthpieces will not fit.
[Condition.]
Current lacquer is repainted. A small dent on the curved side behind the bell has been corrected and the lacquer has fallen off. Other than that, there are only minor scuff marks and polish marks scattered throughout. No dents or noticeable lacquer peeling. The inside of the pipe has been cleaned, soft parts replaced, and serviced. Piston airtight is good.

This is a 140 model of Old Kenon with a spine (reinforced rim/Reinforce) attached to the outer circumference of the bell. The straight shank Old Kenon has a wider range of pitch than the tapered shank type, so pitch control is a little more severe, but the soft enunciation and smoky tone are unique. The lacquer finish is attractive for its light response and expressive range. Subtones in the mid and low tones can be easily produced.
