With over 36 years of building experience, master luthier Chuck Thornton truly knows how to craft an exceptionally fine guitar. His Classic II is based on the traditional Fullerton single cut recipe but with many modern improvements including hand selected tone-woods, for a balanced and light weight instrument that rings like a bell.
This particular Classic II weighs in at only 5lbs 9.5oz. It features body contours and an angled neck pocket (to insure the neck is at the perfect angle. No shims needed here) This guitar also features intonated brass saddles and staggered tuning posts for the utmost stability. The pickups are Harmonic Design's Vintage Plus set. In this guitars incredibly resonant, one-piece air dried Old-Growth Pine body they sound crisp and full bodied, with a clear top-end and perfect note separation. You’ll also notice how acoustically alive and resonant this guitar is; even before plugging in.
Many of the earliest Esquires and Tele prototypes were built from Pine. It’s a hugely underrated material for building T-Style instrument. We feel it gives you the best of both worlds. It has the snap and punchiness of Ash, while also delivering huge bass response and a focused midrange like with Alder. Pine is also a very lightweight wood.

Returns on New items are accepted (unless noted in the description), and must occur within 4 days from when you receive the item.
