Summary: CP Thornton wanted to honor the legendary Gibson Les Paul & this is the CP Thornton “Legend”. Les Paul style body with 2 humbuckers and a ton of tone. This is a 2015 with a serial # of 437 written on the inside of the back-plate covering the electronics.

Body: Solid mahogany Body with 5A Eastern Maple Top & Ivoroid Binding with B/W/B Purfling. The top of this guitar is fully bound – the back is unbound.

Neck: Fully bound mahogany neck with a Bois De Rose Fingerboard & Ivoroid Binding Ebony Headstock Veneer. The Nut Width is 1 11/16″ and the guitar has a 12″ Fingerboard Radius. The scale length is 24 5/8”. Some other details are:

Cosmetics: This guitar looks to be in great shape – I did find one small ding on the back edge near the top strap button but you will have to look hard to find it & it didn’t show up in the photos. There are small signs of wear on this guitar but overall it looks really clean.

Playability: This guitar plays great – there is no buzzing or dead spots & we have had the instrument set up with 10’s by our in-house tech. The action is low & the frets are in great shape. This baby is ready to be played & loved for a long time.
