On Hold!

This guitar was made in Japan in the mid-1970's based on the pickup code numbers which are the codes used by Japanese pickup maker Maxon and date the pickups to 1974(24928 would be 4 is 1974, 9 is September and 28 it the 28th day and the 2 in the beginning is the factory code). It has the Gibson style "Open Book" headstock. The guitar appears to be 100% original(the nut may have been shimmed to raise it) with the exception of a set of Gibson tuning machines installed with no other holes showing. There is some spider cracking in the lacquer around the output jack. I just put on a fresh set of 11-50 Flat wound strings and set up the guitar. It plays fine and has a nice, warm sound. This guitar will ship in the hard shell case as shown.
