Description
Up for sale, a Danelectro '59 DC Pro electric guitar in excellent condition and perfect working order. Made famous by users such as Jimmy Page and Syd Barrett, the original DC2 model has developed a cult following for its unique looks and tone, thanks to its use of non-traditional body materials and "lipstick tube" pickups, features which live on in this current DC Pro reissue. Sporting a Lime Green finish, this Dano certainly stands out, and would look striking under stage lights. Weighing in at a mere 6lbs 14oz, this guitar features semihollow masonite construction on a laminated wood frame. This guitar has a great airy, resonant quality that translates through the lipstick tube pickups, which deliver chime and twang like few other single coils can. This guitar has been professionally setup, Plek'd, and relic'd by notable NW shop Mike Lull Guitar Works, and the guitar sports fresh 10-46 strings.

The neck has a very rounded medium C profile, 1 5/8" nut width, and a 25" scale length. The rosewood fretboard has a 14" radius, white plastic dot inlays, and 21 medium jumbo frets that show zero fretwear, with perfectly rounded crowns. The neck is straight with ideal relief, and the guitar plays well with no buzzing. The slightly redesigned "coke bottle" headstock looks great, with a silver painted Danelectro logo and a set of three-on-a-side enclosed tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The body boasts the aforementioned Lime Green finish with cream vinyl tape on the sides, white pickguard, and matte finish metal hardware including an adjustable bridge. The relic treatment applied by Mike Lull Guitar Works includes some aging of the pickguard, as well as light oxidation on the hardware. Additionally, Lull's shop added a clean U shaped truss rod access point at the heel of the neck. All of the electronics work as they should, with both pickups wired to a three-way pickup selector, and Master Volume and Tone knobs. Cosmetically, this guitar is incredibly clean aside from the relic work, with one tiny nick on the top behind the bridge, and a couple stray faint scratches that don't go through the matte Lime finish. For those seeking a guitar that looks as unique as it sounds and delivers incredible quality for the price, it would certainly be difficult to do better than this Danelectro!

A padded gigbag is included.
