The original Danelectro company was first founded in 1947 and by 1954 they started producing a distinct line of quirky guitars, eventually expanding to 12-strings, baritones and even sitars! The instruments often used unique lipstick-tube pickups, which contained the pick-up inside lipstick tubes, as well as concentric stacked tone/volume knobs on certain models. Danelectro's goal was to produce no-frills guitars of good tone at low cost and now Replay Guitar Exchange is excited to offer many of the instruments in the range, including this seafoam green ’59M NOS+, based on Danelectro’s most famous guitar, the ’59 M, but now with NOS+ pickups which retains the character of the original NOS pickups but with better highs, punchier mids, and solid lows. The guitar features a shorthorn shape, a fully adjustable wraparound bridge, 2 NOS+ lipstick pickups with 2 stacked tone & volume controls and a 3 way pickup selector. This is a must have for any player serious about tone. A case is not included.
