Description
The original Danelectro company was first founded in 1947 and by 1954 they started producing a distinct line of quirky guitars, eventually expanding to 12-strings, baritones and even sitars! The instruments often used unique lipstick-tube pickups, which contained the pick-up inside lipstick tubes, as well as concentric stacked tone/volume knobs on certain models. Danelectro's goal was to produce no-frills guitars of good tone at low cost and now Replay Guitar Exchange is excited to offer many of the instruments in the range. Here is Danelectro’s Baby Sitar, perhaps one of the more unique that Replay carries. Get back to the delicious tones of the 1960’s with this sizzling cool instrument. With a round body shape, “thermometer” headstock shape, 6 strings tuned like standard guitar, a Gotoh sitar bridge that provides the stinging sitar sound, 1 lipstick pickup with a master volume and master tone control. A case is not included.
Scale length: 24.75”
Number of frets: 21
