This guitar was a favorite of my great friend and vintage guitar mentor. He played it regularly, thus the honest wear.

I wasn't surprised to see what Sergei De Jonge's instruments go for when I spent some time with this beauty. It is balanced but sounds big and has great feel.

I reached out to Sergei for some details so I could correctly represent the instrument. He replied quickly and filled me in on the wood selection and finish: "Top is European spruce, back and sides are East Indian rosewood, fingerboard and bridge are Gabon Ebony, neck is Brazilian mahogany, rosette is spalted box elder, binding is Koa. I’m pretty sure it’s a French polish finish. I still occasionally lacquered guitars in 2004 but I was mostly French polishing. My current price for a guitar like this one would be $9500."

The guitar sold but was returned by the buyer with feedback that the frets needed work. The frets are full but had been leveled and not crowned. The frets are now crowned and polished and the guitar plays great.

Non-original hardshell case includedd.
